You Supported Muhammad Abdullah’s Successful Septoturbinoplasty
Muhammad Abdullah's Story
Muhammad Abdullah, a 16-year-old boy from Islamabad, had been experiencing recurrent episodes of nasal blockages and sinusitis for ten years. He received a consultation from a doctor, who conducted some medical tests and diagnosed Abdullah with Deviated Nasal Septum (DNS). Breathing through his nose and falling asleep at night was significantly challenging for him. His condition reduced his energy levels and his studies were badly affected. To treat this condition, the doctor advised Septoturbinoplasty. Unfortunately, the surgical cost was beyond Abdullah’s family’s financial reach.
Abdullah lives in a small brick house with his seven family members. His father, the sole breadwinner in the family, works as a security guard and has an insufficient monthly income. With eight family members to support, along with managing the utility bills, groceries, and educational expenses, they had no room left for savings to pay for Abdullah’s much-needed surgery. Therefore, his family turned to Transparent Hands and asked us for help. Recognizing the gravity of his situation, we registered his case. Thanks to the generosity of donors, who enabled us to arrange the surgery for Abdullah at one of our panel hospitals.
On 12-08-2024, Abdullah was admitted to Maryam Memorial Hospital in Rawalpindi. The surgery took place on the same day. Dr.Naheed Baig carefully managed his case and performed his Septoturbinoplasty. After a hospitalization of three days, Abdullah was recovered and discharged on 14-08-2024.
The success of this surgery filled Abdullah with new hope and resilience. Abdullah described his happiness as follows:
“I can finally say goodbye to the discomfort that my nasal issue brought me. You’ve restored my health and happiness. Now, I can breathe easily. I feel healthy and full of energy. Thank you for everything!”
With improved nasal airflow, Abdullah is less likely to experience breathing issues, or awakenings during the night. He feels energized now and is ready to tackle the challenges of life with optimism.
Abdullah and his family are immensely grateful to you for helping him in his time of need. Thanks for being there for Abdullah. Your generosity can never be forgotten.
