Muhammad Anus 's Story
Three-year-old Muhammad Anus, a resident of Swat, was born with congenital sensorineural hearing loss, a condition that has left him in a world of silence. His parents noticed that he was not responding to their voices when he was just one year old, and their worst fears were confirmed by medical tests and doctor consultations. he was diagnosed with sensorineural deafness. The doctor advised cochlear implant surgery.
Without this treatment, he will have a hard time communicating and learning, and he won’t be able to enjoy the simple pleasure of hearing the world around him. his family’s financial constraints make it impossible for them to afford it. After going through a lot of stress, his parents decided to register his case with Transparent Hands. Through the amazing support of our kind donors, he got an opportunity to regain his ability to hear.
He was admitted to Ali Medical Centre, Islamabad, where Dr. Jawwad skillfully performed the cochlear implant surgery on 6-07-2023. The doctor successfully implanted the internal component with accuracy and expertise, constituting an important step in his quest for hearing restoration. He was discharged after one day of stay in the hospital.
Anus embarked on a gradual journey toward complete hearing recovery. Following a few weeks, a skilled doctor performed the implantation of the external component of the cochlear implant. Through subsequent speech therapy sessions, he underwent a transformative process that enabled him to perceive and process sounds.
