You Helped Ahsan Sajad Regain Mobility
Ahsan Sajad's Story
Ahsan Sajad, a 28-year-old from Lahore, found himself facing a life-altering challenge when a severe infection led to the amputation of his right leg. This devastating loss left Ahsan in urgent need of a right above-knee prosthesis to restore his ability to walk and regain his independence.
Ahsan’s situation was further complicated by his family’s financial constraints. Residing with his parents and four siblings, Ahsan relied heavily on his father, the sole breadwinner of the household. Unable to work due to his disability, Ahsan’s father struggled to bear the cost of the artificial limb Ahsan so desperately needed.
Determined to reclaim his mobility, Ahsan reached out to Transparent Hands, dedicated to providing medical assistance to those in need. With their unwavering support and the generosity of their donors, Ahsan’s right leg was successfully fitted with a prosthetic on May 7, 2024, under the expert supervision of Dr. Khalid Niaz at the Hope Rehabilitation Centre.
The impact of Transparent Hands on Ahsan’s life was immeasurable. Not only did they facilitate his access to this crucial medical intervention, but they also brought much-needed attention to his case, rallying the community to come together in support of his recovery.
Ahsan Sajad expressed profound gratitude to Transparent Hands and its generous donors, acknowledging the profound difference they had made in his life. The restoration of his mobility through the provision of a prosthetic leg became a pivotal turning point, empowering Ahsan to rebuild his independence and reclaim his sense of self.
