You Enabled Hassan to Hear His Loved Ones’ Voices
Muhammad Hassan's Story
Muhammad Hassan Fawwad Sadiq, a 2-year-old boy from Lahore, had been unable to hear since birth. His parents noticed his inability to hear and took him to a doctor, who diagnosed him with sensorineural hearing loss after running some diagnostic tests. The doctor told his parents that Hassan needed cochlear implant surgery to hear.
Unfortunately, his parents couldn’t afford the expenses of the surgery. His father is a police officer, and the family lives in a modest home with 10 family members. With a monthly rent of PKR 25,000 and many other household expenses, they were unable to afford the expense treatment. Hassan’s family contacted Transparent Hands to seek assistance. We immediately processed Hassan’s case.
On November 21, 2024, Hassan was admitted to Evercare Hospital, Lahore, where he successfully underwent cochlear implant surgery surgery. Dr. Imran Saeed expertly inserted the internal component of the cochlear implant. After receiving essential post-operative care, Hassan was discharged on November 22, 2024.
In 6 to 8 weeks, the external component of the cochlear implant will be installed, marking the next step in Hassan’s journey toward hearing and communication. Following the installation, he will begin attending speech therapy sessions to develop language and communication skills.
Hassan’s parents are extremely happy with his progress. They are optimistic about his future and know that he will have the opportunity to learn like other children.
His family said, “We’re relieved and excited because Hassan’s future has been secured. Our hearts are filled with gratitude. Your support has changed Hassan’s life.”
Hassan’s family is thankful and looks forward to seeing him active and full of life. Your kindness has given the family hope, happiness, and optimism.
