You Cured Fiyaz’s Chronic Tonsillitis

Fiyaz Khan's Story

Fiyaz Khan, an 11-year-old boy from Karachi, had been battling a sore throat and recurrent fevers for three years. Activities like breathing, speaking, and swallowing became significantly challenging. Concerned about his condition, his parents took him to a nearby hospital and consulted a doctor. After performing a comprehensive examination, the doctor diagnosed him with chronic tonsillitis, a condition that significantly affected his quality of life. His doctor advised a tonsillectomy to resolve the issue, but the cost of the procedure was too high for his father.

Fiyaz lived in a rented brick house with his five family members. Fiyaz’s father, the sole provider for the family, worked as a daily wage laborer and earned just PKR 28,000 monthly. This income was insufficient to cover their household expenses, including utility bills, house rent as well as grocery expenses. His health concerns began affecting his studies, as he frequently missed school due to his illness. The surgical cost was overwhelming and his family wasn’t able to pay for the surgery. Understanding the family’s struggles and the boy’s need for treatment, we quickly registered him for surgery.

On 8th November 2024, Fiyaz was admitted to the Murshid Hospital in Karachi. His tonsillectomy was performed by Dr. Paras Naeem. The medical staff ensured that the procedure was completed without complications. After receiving post-operative care, Fiyaz was discharged in stable condition on 9th November 2024.

Fiyaz’s father shared his heartfelt gratitude as follows:
