Waris’s Life-Changing Experience with Transparent Hands
Waris Ali 's Story
Nine-year-old Waris, a resident of Sargodha, has been experiencing shortness of breath and cyanosis since birth. His parents learned about his condition when he was one year old and took him to a local hospital for evaluation. After diagnostic tests, the doctor diagnosed him with complex congenital heart conditions, including Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) and Major Aortopulmonary Collateral Arteries (MAPCA). The cardiac surgeon recommended open-heart surgery for total correction. However, his father cannot afford the expensive procedure, so he reached out to Transparent Hands for assistance. After registering the case, Waris was admitted to Ittefaq Hospital in Lahore, where Dr. Asim Khan successfully performed the operation on 21-02-2023.
Following an eight-day stay, Waris was discharged from the hospital. The surgery was made possible through the support of PCHF, Sabena Mir, Muhammad Idress, and other donors. Currently, his health is stable. Waris’s family expresses profound appreciation to the donors whose contributions made the surgery possible. Without your financial support, his heart’s health could not have been restored.
