Once upon a time, in the vibrant town of Ghotki, a young boy named Viran Kumar embarked on an extraordinary journey toward a world filled with the joy of sound. At the tender age of 4, Viran faced the challenge of sensorineural hearing loss, a condition that had kept him from fully experiencing the wonders of sound. However, Viran and his family were determined to overcome this obstacle and sought the help of the medical experts at the Institute of Medical Sciences in Gambat.

On a fateful day, the 5th of December 2023, Viran was admitted to the hospital, marking the beginning of a life-changing chapter. With eager anticipation, Viran underwent a groundbreaking right-sided cochlear implant surgery under the skilled hands of the esteemed Dr. Maqbool Ahmed, a renowned surgeon. The procedure utilized a state-of-the-art cochlear implant, specifically designed to restore hearing function in individuals with sensorineural hearing loss.

After four weeks, an external component of the cochlear implant was installed, further enhancing Viran’s ability to perceive sound. To maximize the benefits of the implant and develop his communication skills, Viran embarked on a comprehensive speech therapy program tailored to his unique needs.
