Uzma Happily Welcomed a Baby Boy

Uzma Bibi's Story

Uzma Bibi, a 23-year-old mother of two from Multan, was eagerly expecting the birth of her third child. Having already undergone two C-sections, she knew that her delivery would require extra care. Uzma visited a doctor, who after a thorough examination recommended an elective C-section to ensure the safety of both mother and baby. The risks of natural delivery after two previous surgeries were too high, and the doctor strongly advised that this procedure would be the safest one. However, Uzma’s family was unable to afford the surgery.

Uzma lives in a two-room brick house with a joint family of six members. Her husband works as an auto driver, earning a monthly income of PKR 36,000 per month. With this meager monthly income, they could only cover their basic needs. They had no additional source of income and no savings at all for the major expense of surgery. That’s when Uzma reached out to Transparent Hands and asked us for assistance. Upon learning about her situation, we quickly registered her case. We thank the donors who enabled us to arrange the C-section for Uzma at one of our panel hospitals.

On 23-07-2024, Uzma was admitted to Bakhtawar Amin Memorial Hospital in Multan. The surgery was scheduled for 24-07-2024. Dr.Tehreem Rasool skillfully performed her C-section surgery and Uzma welcomed a healthy baby boy into this world. Post-surgery, Uzma was hospitalized for three days and received essential care and monitoring. After recovery, Uzma was discharged in satisfactory condition on 26-07-2024.

The overwhelming relief and joy she felt after the delivery was impossible to put into words. Uzma expressed her emotions as follows:

“I can’t believe how blessed I am. You gave me and my baby a second chance at life. I don’t know what we would have done without your help. I will always be grateful for this kindness. It has given us so much hope.”
