Sumiya Umar's Story
Sumiya Umar, aged 8, a resident of Khanewal was diagnosed with a cataract in her left eye that was becoming the root cause of her short sightedness. After an eye exam the ophthalmologist advised her to undergo LMA with an intraocular lens (IOL). For this purpose, she was admitted to Bakhtawar Amin Memorial Trust Hospital, where the surgery was performed by Dr. Asif Manzoor on 13.02.2021. Her faulty lens matter inside the left eye was removed, and an artificial lens was placed. She was discharged from the hospital in satisfactory condition after one day of stay.
