Shah Meer’s congenital heart defect has been repaired
Shah Meer's Story
Shah Meer, 4 years old, suffered from breathlessness and bluish discoloration of skin on mild exertion. After going through thorough medical consultation, he was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect called tetralogy of fallot (TOF) and was advised surgery for it. For this purpose, Shah Meer was admitted in Ittefaq Hospital and his open heart surgery for total correction was performed by Dr. Jamal Abdul Nasir on 09-01-2021. He stayed in the hospital for seven days and was discharged in a stable condition. Shah Meer’s health has improved considerably since he has had the surgery. The surgery was conducted with the support of Pakistan Children Heart foundation and other donors.
