Seerat Fatima's Story
Seerat Fatima, 4 years old, was diagnosed with rectovestibular fistula (RVF) at the time of her birth which is an anorectal congenital disorder. Six days after her birth, the doctors performed a colostomy on her. Seerat was advised a second surgical procedure called anterior sagittal anorectoplasty (ASARP). For this reason, she was admitted in Akram Medical Complex and the surgery was performed by Dr. M. Bilal Mirza on 19.01.2021. She stayed in the hospital for five days and was discharged in a satisfactory condition. Seerat is able to play with her friends now since she had a swift recovery from her surgery.
