Salar, a three-year-old boy, had been grappling with the challenges of hearing loss since birth. It wasn’t until his first birthday that his parents discovered the true extent of his condition, prompting them to seek medical attention. After comprehensive examinations and consultations with healthcare professionals, the family received life-changing news – Salar was a candidate for a cochlear implant surgery, a procedure that held the promise of restoring his ability to hear.

However, the financial burden associated with such a high-cost operation proved to be a daunting obstacle for Salar’s family. Residing in a rented house with his parents and four siblings, and with his father earning a modest income of PKR 30,000 per month as a diligent daily wager, the family simply lacked the resources to afford the life-changing surgery.
