Sahrish Aslam Embraced Motherhood With Joy

Sahrish Aslam's Story

Sahrish Aslam, a 34-year-old mother of two from Multan, faced a difficult time during her third pregnancy. With a history of two previous C-sections and a miscarriage, she approached her doctor filled with anxiety and hope. After a thorough examination, her doctor expressed concerns about complications due to her medical history. The doctor strongly recommended a third C-section to ensure safe delivery and avoid potential complications. However, the surgical cost was overwhelming for Sahrish’s family.

Sahrish lives in a two-room brick house with her husband and two kids. Her husband, the sole breadwinner in the family, works as a driver and makes just PKR 22000 per month. This meager monthly income barely covered the household expenses, leaving them with no savings for Sahrish’s much-needed C-section surgery. The cost of the surgery was far beyond their reach and Sahrish and her husband were extremely worried about the safety of their unborn child. During this time of need, Sahrish reached out to Transparent Hands. After learning about her critical situation, we immediately took action, organizing her surgery at one of our panel hospitals.

On 08-07-2024, Sahrish was admitted to Bakhtawar Amin Memorial Hospital in Multan. Dr. Asim Iqbal performed her C-section surgery on 09-07-2024. The surgery was performed successfully, and Sahrish gave birth to a healthy baby boy. Sahrish was hospitalized for three days and after recovery, she was discharged in a stable condition on 11-07-2024.

Seeing her child for the first time, Sahrish was overwhelmed with happiness and relief, knowing her child was safe. Sahrish described her emotions as follows:

“Words cannot describe how grateful I am! I thought I would lose my child. I’m grateful to the generous donors who helped us. I’m holding my baby in my arms. Thanks for saving our lives!”

Sahrish and her family extend their deepest gratitude to you as your contributions made this life-saving surgery possible. Your kindness has given her a bright and joyful future.
