Munazza Bibi had a Successful Open cholecystectomy
Munazza Bibi's Story
Munazza Bibi, a 33-year-old resident of Kasur, is on regular dialysis after her renal failure due to high blood pressure at the time of her first childbirth. One and a half years ago, she had acute abdominal pain. After a thorough evaluation, the doctor diagnosed her with stones in her gallbladder as well as the common bile duct (CBD). The doctor advised her to undergo Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) for retrieval of CBD stones, followed by Cholecystectomy to remove Gallbladder. Her ERCP was done in May 2022 and she was advised to undergo an open cholecystectomy. She was admitted to Lahore Care Hospital, where her operation was performed by Dr. Ahmed Fawad on 15-09-2022. She was discharged after two days of stay in the hospital. Munazza Bibi is feeling better now.
