Muhammad Sudais Khan, a four-year-old resident of Swat, was not responding to his parents’ voices even when he was one year old. His parents took him to the doctor. After examination, the doctor diagnosed him with sensorineural hearing loss. The ENT specialist advised him to undergo cochlear implant surgery. Muhammad Sudais was referred to Ali Medical Complex, Islamabad where the cochlear implant surgery was done by Dr. Jawad on 11.12.2021 and the internal component was fixed. He was discharged on the date of his surgery. He is recovering well postoperatively. He will have the external component fixed after six weeks.
