Muhammad Hammad Underwent Inguinal Hernioplasty Successfully

Muhammad Hammad's Story

Muhammad Hammad, a 14-year-old boy from Lahore, was experiencing pain due to a lump in his left inguinal region. He felt discomfort and faced difficulty in carrying out his routine tasks properly. Concerned about his condition, his parents took him to a nearby hospital and consulted a doctor, who conducted some diagnostic tests and an ultrasound scan and diagnosed Hammad with left Inguinal Hernia. To alleviate his pain and discomfort, the doctor advised left inguinal hernioplasty. However, the surgical cost was overwhelming for Hammad’s family.

Hammad desperately needed the surgery as his life was badly affected by the inguinal hernia. He lives in a modest house with his five family members. His father sells clothes and earns just PKR 25000 per month. With this meager monthly income, they were hardly managing the utility bills, groceries, and other living expenses. The burden of medical bills weighed heavily on the family, leaving them in a desperate situation. That’s when Transparent Hands stepped in to help Hammad. We registered his case and through the help of donors, we arranged the surgery for him at one of our panel hospitals.

On 23rd May 2024, Hammad was admitted to the Lahore Care Hospital. The surgery took place on the same day. Dr. Ahmed Fawad skillfully performed his inguinal hernioplasty. Hammad was hospitalized for one day and received post-operative care. On 24th May, Hammad recovered and was discharged in stable condition.

Hammad was happy and he said:

“The pain was unbearable, and I couldn’t see a way out. I thank the donors for helping me. The surgery changed everything for me, and I’m finally able to carry out my routine tasks.”
