Muhammad Ammar, a three-year-old from Tank, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has embarked on a courageous journey to overcome a lifelong struggle with hearing impairment.
On November 16, 2023, Muhammad Ammar’s journey to hearing began at Ali Medical Complex, Islamabad. Dr. Jawwad Ahmed, a skilled surgeon, performed the pivotal surgery, successfully implanting the internal component that promised a world of new sounds for Ammar.
Remarkably, just a day after the surgery, on November 17, 2023, Ammar was discharged from the hospital, marking the commencement of his transformative path. Anticipating progress, the external implant was scheduled to be installed after a six-week healing period, followed by dedicated speech therapy sessions to aid in his auditory development.
Ammar’s resilience coupled with the expertise of Dr. Jawwad Ahmed and the ongoing speech therapy sessions sets the stage for a hopeful future.
