Javeria Nadeem 's Story

Javeria Nadeem, a brave 15-year-old girl from Lahore, was born with a heart defect called Atrial Septal Defect (ASD). This meant there was a hole in her heart’s upper chambers, causing her to feel sick, have trouble breathing, and struggle to gain weight. Her family took her to a nearby hospital, where the doctor recommended ASD Closure to fix the problem. But the surgery was very expensive, and Javeria’s family couldn’t afford it.

Fortunately, Javeria’s family reached out to Transparent Hands for financial support. After her case registration, she was admitted to the University of Lahore Teaching Hospital, where a skilled doctor named Dr. Faiz Rasool performed her surgery on 18-08-2023.

During her hospital stay, Javeria received excellent care, with all medications, tests, and accommodation provided free of charge. After four days, she was discharged from the hospital in a satisfactory condition, reflecting the successful outcome of her treatment.

The Pakistan Children’s Heart Foundation and the compassionate donors came together and made this surgery possible. Their donations made it possible for Javeria to get the treatment she needed. Javeria and her family are extremely grateful to all the donors who selflessly gave to help her. Their kindness has made a huge difference in Javeria’s life. Now, she can look forward to a healthier and happier future, free from the problems she faced before.
