Ehtisham’s Heart Defect has been Corrected
Muhammad Ehtisham 's Story
One-year-old Ehtisham, a resident of Layyah, had been suffering from shortness of breath, cyanosis, and episodes of chest pain. Despite his parents’ efforts, he had been struggling to gain weight since birth. A few months ago, his parents learned about his condition and took him to a local hospital for diagnosis. After a thorough evaluation, the cardiologist diagnosed him with Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF), which affects the flow of blood through the heart.
To treat this condition, the cardiac surgeon advised him to undergo open-heart surgery for total correction, which is a procedure that corrects heart defects and allows proper blood flow to the heart and lungs. Unfortunately, his father could not afford the cost of the surgery. They desperately needed financial assistance and turned to Transparent Hands at that time.
He was admitted to Ittefaq Hospital, Lahore, where his operation was performed by Dr. Salman on 9-05-2023. The surgery was a resounding success, and after a fifteen-day stay at the hospital, the child was discharged. This surgery was made possible with the support of the Pakistan Children’s Heart Foundation and other generous donors. His parents’ hearts overflowed with gratitude as they saw their beloved son’s remarkable recovery.
The surgery not only saved his life but also opened a world of possibilities for him. With his health restored, he can now embrace a childhood free from the limitations that once burdened him. His bright future is now within reach, filled with endless opportunities to grow, learn, and pursue his dreams.
None of this would be possible without the generosity and kindness of donors like you. Your contributions have had a significant impact not only on his life but also on the lives of his entire family. We sincerely thank each and every donor who made this life-saving surgery possible. Donate to help deserving children like Ehtisham.
