Urwa Shabbir's Story
Five-year-old Urwa, a resident of Sargodha, had sensorineural hearing loss since birth. Her parents got to know about this when she was one year old. They took her to a local hospital for evaluation. After the evaluation and running some diagnostic tests, the doctor advised cochlear implant surgery. She was admitted to Al-Razi Hospital, Lahore, where Dr. Asim performed her operation to install the internal component of the cochlear implant successfully on 19-07-2022.
