Begum Jan's Story

Begum Jan, aged 87 years, suffered from urinary retention. On thorough medical examination, the doctor diagnosed her with bladder outlet obstruction and advised cystoscopy. For this purpose, Begum was admitted to Maryam Memorial Hospital and her cystoscopy was done. After cystoscopy, her excision of urethral caruncle along with urethral dilation was performed by Dr. Ahmed Rehman on 15.06.2021. She stayed in the hospital for two days and was discharged in a stable condition. Begum feels that there is no longer any obstruction and her urination has improved a great deal since she has been treated.
