Atta Ullah’s heart defect was repaired
Atta Ullah's Story
Atta Ullah, aged 3 years, was a very weak child since his birth and suffered from recurrent episodes of fever. His parents took him to the doctor multiple times. After thorough work-up, he was diagnosed with a heart condition called Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA). It is an opening in the heart that usually closes on its own. However, in Atta Ullah’s case, although small in size, it did not close on its own. Therefore, PDA device occlusion procedure was advised for him. For this purpose, he was admitted to Ittefaq Hospital and the procedure was performed by Dr. Najam Hyder on 08.03.2021. He stayed in the hospital for one day and was discharged in a stable condition. Atta Ullah has become much more energetic and active since his procedure was performed.
