Asif Jah's Story

Asif Jah, a 41-year-old man from Haripur, was suffering from upper abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and indigestion of fatty meals. His condition gave him extreme discomfort and carrying out his important tasks became challenging for him. Asif was receiving symptomatic treatment but only got temporary relief. Over time, his condition worsened. After suffering for a while, he consulted a specialist, who conducted ultrasound scan. The doctor diagnosed him with Cholelithiasis and recommended Laparoscopic cholecystectomy to alleviate his pain and discomfort. However, Asif was unable to afford the surgical cost.

The constant discomfort began taking a toll on his physical and emotional well-being. Asif struggles to make ends meet by working as a mobile technician. His brother is a daily wage laborer. However, the family’s monthly income is insufficient to cover the utility bills, in addition to the groceries and other living expenses. In this time of need, Asif contacted Transparent Hands and asked us for help. Understanding the critical nature of his situation, we promptly registered his case.

On August 24, 2024, Asif was admitted to the Maryam Memorial Hospital in Rawalpindi. His surgery was scheduled on the same day. Dr. Afsheen Zara skillfully performed the Laparoscopic cholecystectomy. After receiving post-operative care, Asif was discharged in stable condition on August 27, 2024.

The surgery was a success, and Asif’s gallbladder was successfully removed. Asif’s heart was filled with an immense sense of relief and gratitude. Asif described his happiness as follows:
