Arooj’s Heart Surgery was Successful
Arooj Zafar's Story
We are thrilled to share the heartwarming success story of Arooj Zafar, a four-year-old girl from Okara, who faced health challenges from a young age. Arooj’s parents noticed her difficulty in breathing and bluish skin when she turned one year old. Worried, they took her to a local hospital where doctors diagnosed her with Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF), a complex heart condition. To give Arooj a chance at a healthy life, the doctors recommended an Open-Heart Surgery that included repairing a Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD) and removing a Right Ventricular Outflow Tract Obstruction (RVOTO). However, Arooj’s family faced financial constraints, and her father couldn’t afford the costly surgery.
Fortunately, Arooj’s story took a positive turn thanks to the support of compassionate individuals like you. Our generous donors came forward to lend a helping hand. With their support, Arooj was admitted to Ittefaq Hospital in Lahore, where Dr. Asim performed her life-saving surgery on 2nd March 2023.
Following the successful procedure, Arooj’s recovery was swift and remarkable. After spending seven days in the hospital, she was discharged, carrying with her a healthy heart and renewed hope for the future. The surgery, made possible by the kindness of donors, has transformed Arooj’s life in unimaginable ways. Today, Arooj is a vibrant, joyful, and energetic little girl. Her smile radiates happiness, and she is now able to embrace life without the burden of her previous health struggles. Her parents are immensely grateful to everyone who contributed to her journey of healing.
Thank you to PCHF, Sana Rab Akbar, Tooba Shahid Sherwani, and all the other donors who generously contributed to Arooj’s cause. Your selfless support has not only saved her life but has also provided her with the opportunity to flourish, thrive, and pursue her dreams.
May this success story motivate us to continue changing lives and creating a world where every child has access to the medical care they deserve. Thank you for being a part of Arooj’s remarkable journey from illness to recovery. Support us to complete the surgeries of other patients.
