Allah Dita Can See Clearly Now

Allah Dita's Story

Allah Dita, a 48-year-old man from Multan, was suffering from blurry vision. Due to his visual impairment, Allah Dita bumped into things while walking around the home. He was unable to perform tasks that he used to do before. Allah Dita went to a nearby hospital and consulted a doctor, who conducted some medical tests and diagnosed Allah Dita with ectopia lentis. To restore his clear vision, the doctor advised right eye Intracapsular Cataract Extraction (ICCE) followed by scleral fixation. However, the cost of the surgery was out of his reach.

Allah Dita lived in a modest home with his wife and five children. As the only earning member of the family, he worked as a daily wage laborer. His limited income barely covered essential expenses like rent, food, and utility bills. Saving for surgery was simply out of the question, leaving the family distressed and uncertain about the future. During their moment of need, Allah Dita and his family turned to Transparent Hands. We listened to their concerns and promptly registered his case.
On February 25, 2025, Allah Dita was admitted to Bakhtawar Amin Memorial Teaching Hospital in Multan. Dr. Asif performed the recommended surgery successfully. After receiving proper post-operative care, Allah Dita was discharged in stable condition on February 26, 2025.
