It is recommended that the following dua should be recited before breaking the fast in Ramadan: “Dhahaba al-zama wa’btalat al-‘uruq wa thabata al-ajr in sha Allah” [Abu Dawud: 2357]

The duration of Ramadan is determined by sighting the moon.

According to a Hadith reported by Ibn Abbas, “The Messenger of Allah (SAW) enjoined Zakatul-fitr as a purification for the fasting person from idle talk and obscenities and to feed the poor”. (Sunan Ibn Majah, 1827)

Zakat ul Fitr can be given to anyone eligible to receive Zakat who doesn’t meet the Nisab threshold, which includes any possessions equivalent to 52.5 tolas of silver. Additionally, the recipients of Zakat must not have any material possessions that are extravagant or excessive for their basic needs.
