Transparent Hands and Gambat Institute of Medical Sciences Sign MOU for Improved Healthcare Access for Hearing Impairments Treatment.
Transparent Hands, a leading nonprofit organization providing free medical treatment to the poor and underprivileged in Pakistan, is pleased to announce a new partnership with Gambat Institute of Medical Sciences. On September 16, 2023, the two organizations signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to improve access to treatment for patients with hearing impairments. The MOU was signed by Raheel Abbas, Director of Transparent Hands; and Dr. Rahim Bux Bhatti, Director of Gambat Institute of Medical Sciences.
As per the MOU, GIMS will provide free cochlear implant surgeries to people with hearing disabilities in Sindh, as referred by Transparent Hands.
The objectives of the MOU include:
- Free pre- and post-op consultation by attendants.
- Free cochlear implant surgery.
- Priority basis treatment to Transparent Hands patients.
- Free medical and diagnostic facitlies.
- Raise awareness through seminars and support in medical campts.
- Aid Transparent Hands in general surgeries as a good will gesture.
