Transparent Hands and CMH Lahore Medical College & Institute of Dentistry Sign MOU to Provide Specialized Care for Oral Cancer Patients

Transparent Hands, a leading nonprofit organization providing free medical treatment to the poor and underprivileged in Pakistan, is pleased to announce a new partnership with CMH Lahore Medical College & Institute of Dentistry. On August 17, 2023, the two organizations signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to provide specialized care to patients requiring surgeries, especially those battling oral cancers.

The MOU was signed by Rameeza Mueen, Chief Executive Officer of Transparent Hands; Prof. Dr. Samir Riaz Qazi, Dean, Institute of Dentistry, of CMH Lahore Medical College & Institute of Dentistry.

The partnership will allow CMH Lahore Medical College & Institute of Dentistry to work closely with Transparent Hands in various capacities, towards the common goal of providing quality healthcare, radiotherapy sessions, and conducting surgeries, among other comprehensive treatment options available to deserving patients, especially those with oral cancer. 

As per the agreement CMH Lahore Medical College & Institute of Dentistry will:

• Provide priority treatment to Transparent Hands patients.
• Offer consultations by attending consultants during pre and post-operative visits.
• Provide any and all medical services/diagnostic facilities to the patient as advised by the consultant/specialist which are available in the hospital.
• Ensure student society participation in Transparent Hands campaigns to benefit the underprivileged.

This synergistic opportunity will enable CMH Lahore Medical College & Institute of Dentistry to contribute their skills, expertise, and resources to make healthcare more accessible and affordable for low-income individuals and families. The student society of CMH Lahore Medical College & Institute of Dentistry can also gain hands-on experience in raising awareness and participating in conferences, seminars, and medical camps as arranged by Transparent Hands.

With its partnership with the CMH Lahore Medical College & Institute of Dentistry, Transparent Hands aims to spread awareness and mobilize the youth to remove financial barriers to healthcare for those who need it most.
