The Health Foundation Partner to Support Hepatitis C Patients

Transparent Hands, a leading online crowdfunding platform that provides free medical and surgical care to needy patients in Pakistan, is pleased to announce a partnership with The Health Foundation. On February 26, 2024, the two organizations signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to support the treatments to Hepatitis C patients in Sindh free of charge.

The MOU was signed by Mr. Raheel Abbas, Transparent Hands’ Director of Operations, and Mr. Shahid Qadri, Chief Operating Officer of The Health Foundation (THF).

As per the MOU, Transparent Hands will not only contribute for the treatment of Hepatitis C patients registered with The Health Foundation (THF), but these organizations will also collaborate to organize free medical camps in the underserved areas of Sindh. This MoU will allow both organizations to work towards the common goal of improving the quality of life in underprivileged communities where many people are suffering due to Hepatitis C. Through this partnership, the two organizations aim to support numerous needy Hepatitis C patients in Sindh who can’t afford to pay for their treatments due to financial constraints.

“We are excited to partner with The Health Foundation to address the prevalent issue of Hepatitis C in Sindh,” said Mr. Raheel Abbas. “This MoU marks a significant step towards improving access to quality and timely Hepatitis C treatments in the low-income and vulnerable communities.”

The agreement between the two organizations comes at a crucial time when the number of Hepatitis C cases is at an alarming level, making Pakistan home to the largest number of Hepatitis C patients in the world. Since delayed Hepatitis C treatments can cause serious damage to the liver, Transparent Hands and The Health Foundation aim to provide timely treatments to deserving patients.

Both organizations are committed to improving the health outcomes of individuals suffering from Hepatitis C. Together, we can take Pakistan one step closer to eliminating Hepatitis C and a healthier future.
