Zainab Fatima's Story

Meet Zainab Fatima, a 23-year-old woman from Lahore, who is pregnant with her second child. However, her life is filled with both happiness and worry. Zainab has faced numerous challenges including a history of three C-sections, two of which were for stillbirths. Considering her past medical history and the potential risk of future complications, her doctor has strongly recommended another C-section for safe delivery. Unfortunately, the cost of the surgery is beyond her financial means.

If she doesn’t undergo a C-section, she may face uterine rupture, excessive bleeding, or infection which can be life-threatening for both mother and baby.

Zainab lives in a one-room house with her husband and one child. She is a housewife and her husband works as a rider and earns only PKR 30,000 per month. With this meager monthly income, they barely cover utility bills and other household expenses. The C-section is necessary for Zainab and her baby but their financial limitations don’t allow them to afford the surgery. This situation fills Zainab and her husband’s hearts with concerns and they are scared about their future.

After experiencing two stillbirths and undergoing three C-sections, Zainab is pregnant again. However, their financial hardships are now becoming an obstacle. During this time of need, Zainab reached out to Transparent Hands and asked for assistance. Zainab expressed her heartfelt plea as follows:

“My heart is filled with worry. I wish to hold my baby in my arms, but we cannot afford the C-section. Every night, we are consumed with fear about what lies ahead. We desperately need your support to welcome our baby safely into this world.”

This expectant mother longs to welcome her baby safely into the world, but she cannot afford the C-section. Your generous donations can help her receive the necessary care and ensure a safe delivery. Please support her during this time of need.
