Muhammad Bilal, a 13-year-old resident of Karachi, has been suffering from back pain for the past few months. He went to a local hospital, where the doctor recommended an MRI test. After the diagnostic test, the doctor diagnosed him with lumbar disc compression along with a Space occupying lesion (SOL).
The doctor advised him to undergo laminectomy surgery and a lesion biopsy. It is a surgical procedure to create space by removing bone spurs and tissues associated with arthritis of the spine. It usually involves removing a small piece of the back part (lamina) of the small bones of the spine (vertebrae).
He lives with his parents and three siblings. His father is the sole earner in the family and earns just PKR 15,000 monthly. He was not stable enough to pay for the surgical expenses. Bilal said in despair.
“I really need your support for the surgery. My medical condition is quite serious, and the doctors say the surgery is my best chance for a better future. It’s been tough dealing with the pain and uncertainty, but knowing that there are people like you who care and are willing to help means the world to me.”
His family contacted our team, and now his case is registered with Transparent Hands. We are determined to raise funds for his surgery with your support. You can change this boy’s future with your donation. He has placed her hopes in your hands. We urge you to support Muhammad Bilal’s Laminectomy and receive countless blessings.
