Support Asif’s Hip Replacement Surgery
Muhammad Asif 's Story
Muhammad Asif cannot walk or study due to the dislocation of his joints. He is a hard-working student with many ambitions. The doctor has advised him to undergo non-cemented Hip Replacement Surgery to find relief from the pain. However, it is an expensive surgery and his family cannot afford it. We urge you to support Asif’s Hip Replacement Surgery and give him the gift of a healthy life.
Asif, a 23-year-old resident of Rahim Yar Khan, has been suffering from dislocation of the joints since the age of twelve. He went to the local hospital and an orthopedic doctor diagnosed him with avascular necrosis (AVN) of the hip joints. The orthopedic surgeon advised him to undergo bilateral hip replacement surgery. His first surgery was performed in March 2022 with the support of Transparent Hands. The orthopedic surgeon has again advised non-cemented hip replacement surgery on the left side. A cementless prosthesis, also called a press-fit prosthesis, has a rough surface or porous coating that encourages the natural bone to grow onto it. New bone growth will span only 1 or 2 mm, so the surgeon uses special tools to shape the natural bone to fit with the prosthesis.
He lives in a small house with his parents and seven siblings. His father is a poor laborer and earns just PKR 15,000 per month. He has no other source of income. His father is unable to afford the hefty cost of hip replacement surgery. He is losing hope day by day. Asif said with teary eyes:
“I am determined to complete my M.Sc. Mathematics degree to find a respectable job to support my family financially. The constant pain in my joints doesn’t let me study properly. I need your help to undergo hip replacement surgery to achieve my future goals.”
He approached Transparent Hands with great hope to register his case. We’ve promised to help him. Asif and his family will be thankful to you even if you make a small contribution. Come forward to donate today and support Asif’s Hip Replacement surgery.
