Abida Parveen's Story

Abida Parveen, a 34-year-old resident of Fateh Jang, is in the 30th week of her fourth pregnancy. Her first child was born via normal delivery and is now 6 years old. Her second child, born via C-section, unfortunately, passed away at 7.5 months old due to pneumonia. Her third child, a daughter, was also born via C-section and is now 1.5 years old.

Abida’s financial situation is dire. Her husband works as a laborer, earning between PKR 700-800 per day. The family does not own their own home and instead lives in a rented one-room house near the village of Fateh Jang.

With her husband as the sole earner and the family’s limited resources, Abida’s financial condition is quite poor. They are barely able to make ends meet and are dependent on the husband’s meager income.

Given Abida’s previous pregnancy complications and the doctor’s recommendation for a C-section delivery for this fourth pregnancy, the financial burden of the procedure is a major concern for the family. They simply do not have the means to afford the cost of the C-section and the associated medical expenses.

Abida said it in a depressed tone:

“My husband, a laborer, earns very little, and we cannot afford the C-section my doctor has recommended for my high-risk pregnancy. I humbly request your generous support to help cover the medical expenses so I can safely deliver my fourth child.”

Abida Parveen’s plea reflects the urgency and genuine concern she feels for her unborn child. In her time of need, she has turned to Transparent Hands, hoping for support. We have the power to extend a helping hand to Abida and her family. Let us join forces and contribute towards providing her with the best medical care she requires, enabling her to embrace the profound gift of motherhood with serenity, happiness, and the assurance of a healthy delivery for her fourth child.
