Support Abdul’s Shoulder Arthroscopic Surgery
Abdul Hameed's Story
Abdul Hameed suffers from adhesive capsulitis, also known as frozen shoulder, which makes it difficult for him to carry out his daily activities. Even daily tasks like bathing, dressing, riding a bike, and sleeping comfortably have become challenging for him. He needs to undergo left shoulder surgery to get relief from the pain and stiffness. He is not financially stable enough to pay for the surgical expenses. Your support for Abdul’s shoulder arthroscopic surgery will change the quality of his life.
Abdul Hameed, a 57-year-old resident of Karachi, has been facing shoulder pain for the last two years. It is also causing stiffness and limiting his left shoulder’s range of motion. He also suffered from a fever. He visited the local hospital for the doctor’s evaluation a few times, and the doctor prescribed some painkillers and antibiotics for the fever and shoulder pain. The medicine was effective for a few days, but his pain persisted. The doctor has now advised the left shoulder arthroscopic release of adhesions. It is a surgical procedure in which a surgeon uses a small camera called an arthroscope to examine and fix the shoulder‘s tissues that are inside or around the shoulder joint. The arthroscope is inserted through a small cut (incision) in the skin.
He is a teacher and lives with his six family members. He earns only PKR 25,000 per month. With his limited income, he can’t afford the surgical expenses.
He expressed his distress with the following words:
“I am tired of the pain and stiffness that is limiting my daily activities. I’m used to doing so much work with my arms, but now I struggle to manage my basic tasks. It is frustrating for me. I want to overcome this pain. It is only possible with your donations for my shoulder arthroscopic surgery.”
His case is registered with Transparent Hands now. We are determined to raise funds for his treatment. We urge you to support Abdul’s shoulder arthroscopic surgery to provide him with a pain-free future. Even a small donation can have a big impact.
Please Note: In certain situations, we proceed with the patient's surgery/medical procedure despite incomplete funding displayed on the website.
