Stand with Haseeb in His Fight Against Blood Cancer

Haseeb Warsi's Story

Meet Haseeb Warsi, a 57-year-old man from Lahore, who has been experiencing bone pains, fatigue, and severe back pain for seven years. Concerned about his condition, Haseeb went to a local hospital and consulted a doctor. After a thorough examination, he was diagnosed with multiple myeloma and underwent spinal fixation surgery. Multiple myeloma is a type of blood cancer that arises from plasma cells, leading to the production of abnormal cells that damage bones and tissues. Haseeb received chemotherapy in 2017 and 2019. Now, he has been advised to undergo chemotherapy again due to the worsening nature of the disease. Unfortunately, he can’t afford his treatment.

Due to his illness, Haseeb is unemployed and he faces immense challenges while performing daily tasks. If Haseeb’s condition is left untreated, the cancer may spread throughout his body and become untreatable. He may enter an irreversible stage of disease progression, making him more susceptible to infections and worsening his overall health.

Haseeb lives with his two children, one of whom is unemployed while the other one is studying. They have rented out the upper portion of their house, earning PKR 36,000 per month, which is their only source of income. This rent covers their utility bills, food, and educational expenses, and they barely managed to cover Haseeb’s previous medical costs. Now, the need for chemotherapy is beyond their financial capacity. During this time of need, Haseeb contacted Transparent Hands and asked for assistance.

Haseeb said with teary eyes:

“My condition is worsening day by day, and I don’t have enough money to afford this expensive treatment. All I want is a chance to live a healthy life once again. Please help me get this treatment. Otherwise, I may become completely bedridden. Kindly contribute for my chemotherapy.”
