Abnormal Uterine Bleeding (DUB) is irregular uterine bleeding that occurs in the absence of recognizable pelvic pathology, general medical disease, or pregnancy. She went to a doctor and got her symptomatic treatment. But her bleeding increased day by day. After the ultrasound, the doctors prescribed her a surgical procedure THO + BSO. Total abdominal hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy (TAH-BSO) is the removal of the uterus, cervix, both fallopian tubes and ovaries. To stop the bleeding, she requires these procedures. Shahnaz Akhtar, a 50-year-old resident of Chakwal, had been suffering from excessive irregular vaginal bleeding for the last seven years. Upon consultation, she was diagnosed with Abnormal Uterine Bleeding (DUB). She was advised to undergo a Total Abdominal Hysterectomy + Bilateral Salpingo (TAH+BSO). A bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy is surgery to remove both of your ovaries and fallopian tubes. She was sent to Maryam Memorial Hospital to get her procedure done by Dr. Shumaila Sharif on 21-10-2021. She was discharged after two days of hospital stay.
