Sakina Fazal's Story
Sakina Awaits Thyroidectomy. Sakina is suffering from a gory disease. Before sharing her story with you, we want you to know that you can help her by donating for her surgery. Donate generously for her.
Sakina, aged 55 years, a resident of Karachi felt swelling in her throat 7 years ago. She did not go to the doctor because she did not feel any pain in the throat. But four months ago, she felt pain in her ear and throat. She visited various local hospitals and got her medicine but her illness was not cured. Then she visited a private hospital and there, after evaluation, the doctors diagnosed her with multinodular goiter. In Multinodular goiter there are many lumps (nodules) that appear within the thyroid gland. This condition is cured through a surgical procedure called thyroidectomy. It is the same procedure that has been advised to Sakina by her doctor.
She is living with her daughter and son-in-law. As she is dependent on her son-in-law, he cannot afford her surgery because he is earning a mere income of PKR 20,000 per month. Her son-in-law told us
“She has been living with me for many years and I have treated her like my own mother. It breaks my heart to see her in pain. I want to get her surgery done as early as possible but my financial conditions are not supporting me. Please help me get her surgery done.”
Sakina’s doctor referred her to Transparent Hands. Her case has now been registered with Transparent Hands. We are working hard to get her surgery done. Sakina Awaits Thyroidectomy, all we need now is your help in the form of donations. Donate generously for her surgery.
