Sadaf Needs Support for a Safe Childbirth
Sadaf Masih's Story
Sadaf, a 20-year-old woman from Karachi, is pregnant with her second child. However, what should be a joyful and hopeful time is filled with fear and uncertainty. Sadaf’s first child was delivered through a C-section. She consulted a gynecologist for this pregnancy. The doctor performed a comprehensive examination and recommended an elective C-section for this delivery. Without it, both her and her unborn baby’s lives are at significant risk. However, the cost of the surgery is out of her family’s reach.
The consequences of not undergoing the surgery can be serious. Sadaf may face life-threatening complications such as severe internal bleeding, and fetal distress. These conditions can lead to tragic outcomes for both mother and baby. Without timely medical help, this hopeful time can become a heartbreaking experience for her family.
Sadaf lives in a one-room rented house with her three family members. Her husband, the sole breadwinner in the family, is a daily wage laborer and makes just PKR 32000 per month. This income barely covers their household expenses, leaving no room for medical costs. The cost of the C-section surgery is far beyond their financial capacity. With hope in her heart, Sadaf contacted Transparent Hands and asked for assistance.
Sadaf said in despair:
“I am eagerly waiting to welcome my baby into this world, but every day, fear fills my heart. The thought of something going wrong keeps me awake at night. All I want is to safely bring my child into this world. Please help me protect my baby.”
Your support can ensure that Sadaf’s delivery is safe and smooth, allowing her to embrace her newborn with peace of mind. A healthy start for her baby and a safe delivery for Sadaf will bring immense relief and joy to this struggling family.
Together, we can make this possible. Let’s join hands to support this family in their time of need and turn their fears into smiles.
