Roman Needs Cochlear Implant Surgery to Hear

Muhammad Roman's Story
Muhammad Roman, a 3-year-old boy from Chiniot, has been living in a world of silence since birth. He has never heard the sounds of his parents’ voices, the laughter of his siblings, or the everyday sounds that most children experience. Despite his joyful nature, Roman’s inability to hear has hindered his ability to communicate with those around him and develop speaking skills. His parents, desperately searching for a solution, took him to a local hospital for consultation. After a thorough examination, the doctor diagnosed Roman with congenital Sensorineural Hearing Loss (SNHL) and recommended a cochlear implant surgery. However, the cost of the cochlear implant surgery is far beyond the reach of Roman’s family.
The sooner he receives the cochlear implant, the better his chances of speech and language development which are important at his age. If he doesn’t undergo the surgery on time, he might not be able to develop the ability to hear and speak.
Roman lives in a small house with his joint family of five members. His father, a police employee, earns a modest monthly income that just covers the family’s basic needs. The family’s living expenses, including food and utilities, consume a significant portion of his income, leaving little room for such an expensive medical procedure. Roman’s parents are extremely worried about his future and are scared about the circumstances. During this challenging time, his parents have turned to Transparent Hands for help.
Roman’s family shared their plea as follows:
“We can’t bear seeing our little boy missing out on so much. Every day, we wonder what his future holds if he can’t hear. This surgery is his only hope. We are in desperate need of help, and we are relying on your kindness. Please help our child.”
With your generous support, Roman can undergo the cochlear implant surgery that will allow him to hear for the first time. This life-changing surgery will not only improve his quality of life but will also allow him to engage with his family and the world around him. Let’s work together to bring hope to Roman and his family. Your generosity can give this little boy the gift of hearing. Donate Now!

Muhammad Roman's Story
Muhammad Roman, a 3-year-old boy from Chiniot, had never experienced the sounds of the world around him. Since birth, he was unable to hear his parents' voices, the laughter of his siblings, or the simple sounds of daily life. His inability to hear made communication difficult and delayed his speech development. Determined to find a solution, his parents took him to a local hospital for a consultation. After a thorough evaluation, the doctor diagnosed him with congenital Sensorineural Hearing Loss (SNHL) and recommended a cochlear implant surgery to restore his hearing. However, the high cost of the procedure was far beyond what his family could afford.
Roman lived in a modest home with his joint family of five members. His father, a police employee, worked hard to provide for them. His modest monthly income was only enough to cover essential household expenses. With most of his earnings spent on food, utilities, and other necessities, there was no way he could arrange money for his son’s surgery. Feeling helpless, Roman’s parents feared that their child would remain trapped in a world of silence forever. During this time of need, they turned to Transparent Hands. Understanding the nature of Roman’s situation, we quickly registered his case.
On January 23, 2025, Roman was admitted to Evercare Hospital Lahore. Dr. Imran Saeed carefully inserted the internal component of the cochlear implant. The surgery was successful, and after post-operative care, Roman was discharged in stable condition on January 24, 2025.
Six weeks after the surgery, the external component of the cochlear implant will be installed. Moreover, Roman will start receiving speech therapy sessions to communicate properly.
Roman’s parents said with happiness: “For years, we feared our son would never hear our voices, but your generosity has given him a chance to lead a normal life. Words cannot express how grateful we are. You have gifted our child the ability to hear and we are incredibly grateful for your generous support.”
Roman’s life has been changed after the surgery. He is now exploring the world of sounds. His family is thankful to you for supporting them during their time of need.
