Restore Muhammad Nisar’s Vision
Muhammad Nisar's Story
Muhammad Nisar, a 65-year-old from Lahore, has been experiencing the symptoms of cataract in his right eye. Cataracts have clouded his life, making everyday activities a struggle. Nisar had a consultation with a local doctor. After a thorough examination, the ophthalmologist recommended Phaco + IOL surgery for his right eye cataract. Phaco + IOL is a surgical procedure in which the cloudy lens is removed by emulsifying it with an electronic probe. The original eye lens is suctioned out and the intraocular lens is inserted in its place.
Nisar wishes to see clearly again as he once did. Nisar’s health condition doesn’t allow him to work and has made him dependent on his son. His son works in a factory and has a meager monthly income of PKR 30,000 per month. They face monthly utility bills amounting to PKR 4000. Nisar lives in a 3-marla house along with his wife and children. Due to financial constraints, his family faces a challenge and cannot pay for Nisar’s cataract surgery.
Nisar, overwhelmed with grief, said:
“My daily struggle with blurry vision limits my ability to provide for my family. I rely on your kindness and generosity. Kindly donate to help me see the faces of my loved ones again.”
Nisar’s daily struggle with cloudy vision leaves him yearning to see clearly and fully experience his surroundings. The cataract surgery will improve Nisar’s quality of life. Your support will empower him to experience the world fully again.

Muhammad Nisar's Story
Muhammad Nisar, a 65-year-old man from Lahore, was suffering from short-sightedness and blurry vision. Upon consultation with a doctor, he was diagnosed with a cataract in his right eye. To restore his vision, the doctor recommended Phaco+IOL surgery. However, affording the cost of the surgery was beyond his financial abilities as he was already facing financial hardships. His family has a meager monthly income and they live in a modest home.
Nisar’s life was badly affected by his visual impairment. He used to bump into things while walking and carrying out routine tasks became significantly challenging. He desperately needed the surgery but was unable to pay for it. If left untreated, the cataract could have become worse and increased the risk of glaucoma and even blindness. During this time of need, he contacted Transparent Hands and asked us for help. After listening to his concerns, we promptly registered the case.
On 29th July 2024, he underwent right Phaco + IOL surgery at Life Hospital Lahore. Dr. Shaheer skillfully performed the procedure and restored his vision. Nisar said, “I feel like a new person now. I have no words to describe my happiness. Thanks!”
The patient’s family is incredibly grateful to you for supporting them and making this surgery possible through Transparent Hands. Your support has brought light back into his life. Not only did you restore his vision but also allowed him to spend his life with independence and dignity. They will never forget your generosity.
