Provide Fiza Noor with Mitral Valve Replacement Surgery
Fiza Noor's Story
Fiza Noor, a 3-year-old girl from Multan, has been facing shortness of breath and frequent chest discomfort since birth. Even simple activities like playing or walking leave her tired and gasping for air. Recently, Fiza’s parents took her to a nearby hospital and consulted a doctor. After undergoing a comprehensive examination, Fiza was diagnosed with Congenital Mitral Stenosis (MS) and Severe Pulmonary Hypertension (PHT). The doctor has recommended a Mitral Valve (MV) repair or replacement to save her life and prevent further deterioration. However, the cost of the surgery is out of her family’s reach.
If Fiza does not undergo the recommended surgery, her condition will progressively worsen. The narrowing of her heart valve and increased pressure on her lungs can lead to irreversible damage and heart failure. Moreover, she will continue to suffer from constant breathlessness, fatigue, and developmental delays.
Fiza lives with her parents and two siblings in a modest house in Multan. Her father, a rickshaw driver, works long hours each day but only earns around PKR 25,000 a month. Out of this, they spend PKR 2000 on utility bills, while the rest barely covers the household expenses for a family of six. With no savings, the cost of this critical heart surgery is far beyond their reach. During this time of need, Fiza’s parents have contacted Transparent Hands and asked for help.
Fiza’s father shared his heartfelt plea as follows:
“I wish I could take her pain away. Every parent dreams of seeing their child grow strong and happy. Watching Fiza struggle to breathe breaks my heart. I just want to see her play like other children and sleep peacefully at night without gasping for air. But the cost of surgery is something I can’t afford, no matter how hard I work. Kindly help us save her.”
Little Fiza’s life hangs in the balance. With your support, we can help her breathe freely, grow stronger, and finally experience the joy of childhood she deserves.
Let’s join hands to give Fiza a future filled with hope, health, and happiness.
