Mureed Fatima Awaits Abdominal Hysterectomy
Mureed Fatima's Story
Mureed Fatima, a 44-year-old resident of Mianwali, has been bravely enduring the challenges of heavy menstrual bleeding and uterine fibroids for the past three years. Her condition has gradually worsened, causing her significant discomfort and disrupting her daily life.
Mureed recently visited Murshid Hospital for a free medical check-up, where the doctors carefully examined her and advised her to undergo an abdominal hysterectomy. This surgical procedure is necessary to remove the uterus and provide relief from her persistent health issues.
Unfortunately, Mureed’s financial situation poses a significant obstacle. Her husband is a laborer, earning just PKR 28,000 per month, and he is the sole breadwinner for the family. Mureed is a devoted housewife, caring for their five children. The family’s limited income is stretched thin, with PKR 3,000 dedicated to utility bills, PKR 5,000 for school fees, and an outstanding loan of PKR 120,000 that needs to be repaid.
Mureed said in despair:
“I humbly appeal for your kind support to make my necessary surgery possible, which would restore my health and quality of life during these challenging times.”
In this challenging situation, Mureed Fatima is unable to afford the expenses associated with the recommended hysterectomy. Your kindness and support can make the life-changing surgery possible, restoring Mureed’s health and well-being.
Mureed’s determination to overcome her health challenges is admirable, and she remains hopeful that your generosity will provide her with the medical care she desperately needs. With your help, Mureed can regain her quality of life and focus on the joys of her family, unhindered by the burden of her debilitating condition.

Mureed Fatima's Story
Mureed Fatima, a 44-year-old resident of Karachi, had been experiencing heavy menstrual bleeding due to uterine fibroids for the past three years. Her condition worsened to the point that she could no longer work around the house or care for her children properly. She went to a nearby hospital and consulted a doctor, who after a thorough examination and evaluation diagnosed her with uterine fibroids. To relieve her symptoms, the doctor recommended an abdominal hysterectomy. However, the surgical cost was beyond her family’s financial capacity. Mureed lives in a small brick house with her husband and five children. Her husband, the sole breadwinner in the family, is a daily wage laborer and brings in just PKR 28,000 per month. This monthly income was insufficient to cover even their household expenses. The financial strain of the medical bills weighed heavily on them, leaving them in a desperate situation. After struggling for a while, Mureed found Transparent Hands and contacted us for help. Moved by her plea, we registered her case. On 25th July 2024, Mureed was admitted to Murshid Hospital in Karachi. The surgery took place on the same day.
