Muhammad Ashraf Needs Cholecystectomy to Overcome Pain
Muhammad Ashraf Awan's Story
Muhammad Ashraf Awan, a 55-year-old man from Karachi, has been experiencing pain in his upper right abdominal region for the past year. His condition is accompanied by nausea, vomiting, and difficulty in digesting fatty meals. He is unable to perform his daily tasks, and his illness has severely impacted his ability to work and support his family. Ashraf went to a local hospital and consulted a doctor, who conducted some lab tests as well as an ultrasound scan. He was diagnosed with Cholelithiasis – a condition in which solid formations develop in the gallbladder. To enable him to live a healthy life, the doctor advised him cholecystectomy. However, the cost of the surgery is out of his financial reach.
If Ashraf’s condition is left untreated, his health may continue to deteriorate due to poor dietary intake. Moreover, continued intake of medicines may disturb his stomach and he will not be able to enjoy healthy eating.
Ashraf lives in a modest house with his wife and five children. His two sons work as daily wage laborers, earning a combined monthly income of PKR 35,000. The family struggles to make ends meet, barely managing to pay PKR 12,000 for house rent in addition to paying PKR 4000 for utility bills and PKR 1500 for educational expenses. As Ashraf’s condition continues to deteriorate, he grows increasingly fearful of the consequences of not receiving surgery. During this difficult time, he turned to Transparent Hands, seeking assistance for his treatment.
Ashraf said in despair:
“My life has become challenging. I want to get rid of this illness and I dream of a life where pain no longer holds me back. Your help can make this dream a reality. I need your support to regain my health and find a way forward.”
Ashraf relies on your kindness. Only you can give him the chance to heal and regain his ability to support his family. We ask you to be generous and help Ashraf overcome his illness.
Come forward and make a difference in Ashraf’s life.
