Mehrab Bibi's Story

Mehrab Bibi, a 20-year-old mother of two from Rawalpindi, is expecting her third child. She has a history of two C-sections. Her heart is filled with concerns as she knows that her pregnancy will require extra care. She went to a local hospital and consulted a gynecologist who performed an ultrasound scan and some lab tests. To ensure the safety of Mehrab and her baby, her doctor strongly recommended an elective C-section as attempting a natural delivery will create complications. Unfortunately, the surgical cost is overwhelming for Mehrab’s family.

If Mehrab doesn’t undergo the C-section for her child’s birth, she may face higher chances of complications.

Mehrab lives in a small rented house with her husband and two children. Her husband, the sole provider for the family, is a rider at a courier company and brings in just PKR 35000 per month.  With this modest income, he barely pays PKR 15000 for house rent, and managing the utility bills and groceries is extremely difficult for him. They are already struggling to meet their basic needs and can’t imagine how they would be able to cover the expensive C-section procedure. Mehrab is filled with anxiety, knowing that without the surgery, her baby’s life will be in danger. During this time of need, Mehrab contacted Transparent Hands and asked us for assistance.

Mehrab said with teary eyes:

“I never imagined I’d be in this situation. My doctor says a C-section is necessary for my baby’s safety, but I can’t afford it. I’m scared for both of us. I just want to bring my child into the world safely, but the financial burden feels overwhelming. I request you to please help me.”

Your support will save Mehrab’s life and allow her to welcome her new child with peace of mind. We ask you to be generous and contribute for her C-section. Together, we can make a meaningful impact on her life.
