Maqboola awaits Prosthesis Placement
Maqboola Bibi's Story
Maqboola awaits Prosthesis Placement. Before you dive into the gory details of Maqboola Bibi’s ailment, I want you to know that you can help her walk normally again. Please donate for her prosthesis as generously as possible.
Maqboola Bibi, aged 58 years, a resident of Lahore met with an accident 2 years ago. Her son took her to the hospital. After medical evaluation the doctors revealed that her left leg has fractured. The doctors advised an immediate operation. After operating on her leg, Maqbool Bibi was discharged in a satisfactory condition. Later, during the healing process it was determined the her operation was not successful. Gradually the wound began to get infected. Since she was a diabetic patient too, so the doctors had to amputate her left leg below knee level. Her diabetes was controlled and the wound healed well. After healing, Maqbool Bibi now requires a prosthesis placement.
Prosthesis placement is an expensive procedure. Her husband is a labourer and earns PKR. 13,000 per month. Unfortunately he is not very supportive so she is entirely dependent on her son. She is in no position to afford this expensive procedure. She narrated her tale to us in the following words:
“My husband is not very supportive. I am dependent on my son for a long time. He is very worried about me. He is the only supporter of our home. He is a very hard-working child but with a big family to support, he cannot afford a prosthetic leg for me. I have my hopes in Transparent Hands. I hope they will help me walk again.”
Maqboola Bibi’s case has been registered with Transparent Hands. Maqboola awaits Prosthesis Placement. We have assured her that we would arrange her surgery as soon as possible. But, it won’t be possible without your help. Therefore, we request you to please donate for Maqboola Bibi’s left leg below knee prosthesis placement.
