Ahmed Sher, an eighteen-year-old resident of Mian Channu, suffered a tragic event two years ago. His arm got stuck in the machine while working and it got crushed badly. The people took him to the hospital. The doctors tried their best to save his arm but they could not. Unfortunately, the doctor had to amputate his right arm below elbow.

Ahmed’s life has taken a sad turn ever since. Due to lack of financial resources, his family has been struggling. In these expensive times, it is not possible for Huzaifa’s parents to afford his prosthesis placement. Huzaifa’s parents contacted us and requested assistance to get him a prosthetic arm. Huzaifa’s mother shared his sorrow with Transparent Hands in the following words:

“This mishap has changed him. He is not that bright, happy young man anymore. He used to joke and make us all laugh all the time but now he just sits in the corner sadly. Seeing him like this breaks my heart into a trillions of pieces.”

Ahmed works in a factory to support his family and merely manages to make both ends meet. They are a family of six. This prosthesis is crucial for Ahmed’s physical and emotional well-being. This young boy deserves to live a normal life.

Ahmed Sher's Story

Ahmed Sher, an 18-year-old resident of Meyachano, got his right arm stuck in a machine while he was working. His arm was completely crushed. He was rushed to the hospital, but the doctors couldn’t save his arm. They had to amputate it below the elbow level. Ahmed came to Transparent Hands for a prosthesis. Therefore, he was sent to Hope Rehabilitation center. His prosthetic arm was attached by Dr. Khalid Niazi on 09-03-2022. Ahmed is now slowly getting used to his new arm.
