Liaqat Needs Your Support to Fight Bladder Cancer
Liaqat Ali's Story
Liaqat Ali, a 46-year-old resident of Lahore, has been experiencing hematuria (blood in the urine) for the past eight months. His life has been filled with visits to multiple doctors and hospitals, seeking relief from the discomfort caused by his condition. Eventually, Liaqat was referred to Inmol Hospital, where he consulted a specialist. After conducting a thorough examination, the doctor diagnosed him with bladder cancer. It is a type of cancer that originates in the lining of the bladder. The doctor recommended a series of intravesical BCG injections as an effective treatment to address his condition. However, Liaqat can’t afford his treatment.
Liaqat’s condition has left him unable to live a healthy life and he struggles to perform his routine tasks. Without these injections, Liaqat may face significant consequences. If left untreated, bladder cancer may progress rapidly, leading to severe complications. These include an increased risk of the cancer spreading to other parts of the body, chronic pain, urinary obstruction, and a significant decline in overall health.
Due to his illness, Liaqat is unable to provide for his family. He lives in his sister’s home along with his children. His son is a daily wage laborer and earns just PKR 20,000 per month. Liaqat’s family’s financial situation has been strained due to mounting medical expenses, and they are unable to afford the cost of the life-saving injections. A well-wisher told Liaqat about Transparent Hands. He contacted us and asked for assistance.
Sharing his heartfelt plea, Liaqat said:
“I’m really struggling with my illness, and it feels like everything has changed. I just want to be healthy. My son needs my support. Please help me.”
