Lubna Bibi's Story

For the past three years, Lubna Bibi, a 29-year-old woman from Karachi, has been experiencing upper right abdominal pain. It began with occasional discomfort, but over time, it became unbearable. She often experiences nausea and vomiting, especially after meals. Each day, her strength is tested as she tries to care for her family while dealing with this pain. After consulting a doctor, Lubna was diagnosed with Cholelithiasis, a condition caused by gallstones. Her doctor has advised her to undergo Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy to remove the gallbladder and relieve her symptoms. Unfortunately, her family can’t afford the surgery.

Without this surgery, her condition will worsen. It may lead to severe infections, bile duct blockages, or long-term damage to her digestive system. The thought of these complications is terrifying for Lubna.

Lubna’s husband works as a laborer, earning a monthly income of just PKR 30,000 per month. They live in a rented house, paying PKR 12,000 for house rent and PKR 3500 for utility bills every month. With two young children, the family’s income barely covers their basic living expenses. Saving up for an expensive surgery seems impossible in their current financial situation.

With tears in her eyes, Lubna said:

“This pain has taken over my life. I want to be there fully for my children—to cook for them, and look after them the way a mother should. My husband tries his best, but we just don’t have the money for this surgery. I ask you to help me so I can get better and care for my family again.”

Lubna’s hope for a healthier future now rests in your hands. Your support can make her surgery possible and restore her quality of life. Let’s join hands and be the reason Lubna gets back to her normal and healthy life.
