Rehman Ali Shah's Story

Rehman Ali Shah, a 10-year-old boy from Karachi, has been struggling with a persistent health condition for the past ten years. His days are filled with frustration as he faces difficulty in breathing, a blocked nose, and repeated attacks of sinusitis. After numerous visits to the local clinic, Rehman’s family finally consulted a specialist who performed some medical tests and diagnosed Rehman with Deviated Nasal Septum (DNS). It occurs when the septum that separates the nasal cavities is off-center, leading to uneven nasal passages. The doctor recommended septoplasty, a procedure that can restore Rehman’s ability to breathe freely and reclaim his childhood. However, the cost of the surgery is out of Rehman’s family’s financial capacity.

Simple activities like playing with his friends or even sleeping have become huge challenges. Rehman often wakes up at night, gasping for breath, and his parents can only watch helplessly as their son suffers. If Rehman does not receive the surgery soon, the consequences can be serious. His condition may worsen, leading to chronic respiratory issues, frequent sinus infections, and sleep apnea, which may affect his growth and development.

Rehman lives in a small rented house with his nine family members. His father, the sole breadwinner in the family, is a daily wage laborer and brings in just PKR 25000 per month. This income barely covers their basic needs, including rent, utilities, and food. The family often feels stressed, caught between paying for everyday needs and getting the medical care Rehman needs. Desperate for help, Rehman’s parents reached out to Transparent Hands and asked us to register his case.

Rehman’s parents said in grief:

“Our son is suffering, and it breaks our hearts to see him struggle every day. We want him to play, laugh, and breathe without pain. But we feel helpless against our financial limitations. Please help our son in undergoing the surgery.”

This surgery is not just a medical procedure for Rehman. It represents hope, healing, and a chance for him to live life to the fullest. Your support can help turn this dream into reality. Together, we can bring light to his life and restore his joy.

Come forward and help Rehman!

Rehman Ali Shah's Story

Rehman Ali Shah, a 10-year-old boy from Karachi, had been struggling with a persistent health condition since birth. His daily life was filled with discomfort as he faced difficulty in breathing and repeated sinus infections. The constant struggle made it hard for him to focus on his studies and enjoy normal childhood activities. His parents took him to a local hospital and consulted a doctor, who conducted medical tests and diagnosed him with a Deviated Nasal Septum (DNS). To help him breathe easily again, the doctor recommended a septoplasty, a surgical procedure that corrects the deviation and restores proper airflow. However, the cost of the surgery was far beyond what his family could afford.

Rehman lived in a small rented house with nine family members. His father, the only earning member of the family, worked as a daily wage laborer, bringing in just PKR 25,000 per month. This modest income barely covered their house rent, utilities, and food expenses, leaving no room for medical costs. As Rehman’s condition continued to worsen, his family felt helpless. Upon learning about Transparent Hands, they reached out for assistance and asked us to register his case.

On January 21, 2025, Rehman was admitted to Murshid Hospital in Karachi. Dr. Mubashir successfully performed the septoplasty, allowing him to breathe properly for the first time in years. After receiving post-operative care, he was discharged in stable condition on January 22, 2025.

Feeling an immense sense of relief, Rehman’s family expressed their heartfelt gratitude as follows:

"For years, we struggled to find a solution for Rehman’s condition. Today, he can finally breathe with ease, sleep peacefully, and live without constant discomfort. Your kindness has made this possible, and we are deeply thankful for your support."

After the successful surgery, Rehman now has a healthier and happier childhood. His family will always remember this life-changing support, which has secured their son's future. Your kindness made a meaningful impact on Rehman’s life.
