Let’s Fix Sassi’s Eyesight with Cataract Surgery
Sassi Hazaro's Story
Sassi Hazaro, a 70-year-old woman from Hyderabad, has been experiencing dimness in her right eye for the past four months. She often struggles while walking around the house. She finds it challenging to recognize faces, and relies heavily on others to do the things she once managed on her own. Recently, Sassi went to a local hospital and consulted a doctor. After performing a comprehensive examination, the doctor diagnosed Sami with a cataract in her right eye. Her doctor has advised the right Phaco + IOL surgery to restore her vision. However, the surgical cost is beyond her family’s financial capacity.
Without this surgery, Sassi’s condition will continue to deteriorate. Moreover, it may ultimately increase the risk of blindness.
Sassi’s world changed after the death of her husband. Now, she lives with her grandson who is unemployed. They depend entirely on the support of kind-hearted relatives who contribute around PKR 20,000 per month to help cover their living expenses. They live in a modest rented home with a monthly rent of PKR 5000 and utility bills of PKR 2500. Due to their financial constraints, affording to pay for Sassi’s surgery is beyond their reach. During this time of need, Sassi has turned to Transparent Hands and asked for help.
Sassi shared her heartfelt plea as follows:
“I’ve lived a long life with many struggles, but losing my sight feels like losing my independence. All I want is to be able to see again and to spend my remaining years with some comfort and clarity. Kindly support my surgery.”
We have registered Sassi’s case and need your support to restore her eyesight. Your help can bring light back into her life.
Let’s join hands and turn Sassi’s dark world into a bright one.
